From acting to writing to directing, Gerwig has held numerous Hollywood roles, with plenty of movies to get a satisfying dose of Gerwig content.&nbsp;
As you plan ahead for your next movie night, L'OFFICIEL has found the top five Gerwig movies to watch.

Co-written alongside Noah Baumbach, Gerwig stars in the black-and-white comedy-drama Frances Ha, which follows the life of a struggling dancer named Frances Halladay (Gerwig). From her up-and-down relationship with her best friend Sophie (Mickey Sumner) to hopping from job to job to afford rent, it's a true film about identity, self-discovery, and the realities of growing up.

'Frances Ha' (2012)

Mistress America is a comedy co-written by Baumbach and Gerwig, starring Gerwig and Lola Kirke. It tells the story of Brooke (Gerwig) who is contacted by her soon-to-be-stepsister Tracy (Kirke), who is immediately enraptured by Brooke's wild and chaotic life. It's an ingeniously written narrative with witty dialogue and hilarious interactions that also showcases a modern take on relationships and where life can take us based on who we involve ourselves with.

'Mistress America' (2015)

This 2016 film tells the true story of First Lady <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/history-behind-jackie-kennedy-pink-suit-chanel-jfk" target="_blank" title="The Fascinating History Behind Jackie Kennedy's Pink Chanel Suit" rel="noopener">Jackie Kennedy</a> (played by <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/beauty/natalie-portman-and-yara-shahidi-are-the-faces-of-rouge-dior-forever" target="_blank" title="Dior Ambassadors Natalie Portman and Yara Shahidi Prove That Bold is Beautiful" rel="noopener">Natalie Portman</a>) following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Gerwig stars as Jackie's close friend and secretary Nancy Tuckerman. Jackie gives a perceptive take on the struggles Jackie went through after her husband was murdered, her journey of perseverance, and helping define her husband's legacy.

'Jackie' (2016)

Directed and written by Gerwig,&nbsp;Lady Bird&nbsp;stars <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/french-dispatch-anderson" target="_blank" title="Everything We Know About The French Dispatch, Wes Anderson&rsquo;s Latest Film" rel="noopener">Saoirse Ronan</a> and Laurie Metcalf. It's a coming to age story about the realities of adolescence and coming into your own, following the life of a teenage girl who must navigate her complicated relationship with her mother on top of her romantic and platonic ventures. It's an insightful and relatable film for Millennials and Gen Z alike, not to mention it stars <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/beauty/timothee-chalamet-face-of-bleu-de-chanel-fragrance-dune" title="Timoth&eacute;e Chalamet is the New Face of Bleu De Chanel" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Timoth&eacute;e Chalamet</a>.

'Lady Bird' (2017)

Perhaps one of Gerwigs most well-known films to date &mdash; besides Barbie &mdash; and the first movie she serves as Executive Producer, Little Women has an all-star cast including Saoirse Ronan, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/florence-pugh-best-style-moments" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Florence Pugh</a>, Emma Watson, Eliza Scanlen, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/timothee-chalamet-best-red-carpet-fashion-style" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Timoth&eacute;e Chalamet</a>. A film adaptation of a classic book, the movie tells the story of four sisters in the years after the Civil War, addressing themes of family, identity, and truth.
