There are certain things we enjoy from the physicality of retail therapy, such as sampling new makeup shades, or getting a whiff of that new perfume you’ve been eyeing. And though this year has certainly highlighted the importance of a strong online presence, physical retail is still here to stay, albeit with new safety and social measures, of course.
In an industry such as beauty, where touch, smell, and the entire sensorial experience plays a huge part in our appreciation of a product (much less so when we’re deciding to purchase a product!), it seems that brick and mortar won’t be going down anytime soon. So if you are looking to indulge in some retail therapy, there’s plenty to choose from.

Local skincare brand RE:ERTH has launched its first physical retail outlet at TANGS at Tang Plaza, making it the first homegrown label to do so. You can look forward to their minimal-inspired range of products that contains RE: ERTH’s highly efficacious and patented Japanese White and Spring Turmeric, as well as retail ambassadors who can talk you through your individual skin concerns. A key feature is also their Sustainability Corner, which allows you to bring in your empty skincare packaging to be fully recycled, thanks to their partnership with Environmental Solutions (Asia) that converts it to non-fossil derived fuel.

Armani Beauty
The Italian luxury makeup brand is opening its biggest store in Singapore yet. Just this week, Armani Beauty comes with its third outlet at Isetan Scotts, bringing with it its highly covetable range makeup, skincare and fragrances. As an opening promotion, you also get complimentary full-sized lipsticks with any purchase when you register your profile with them.

Chantecaille
Known for itsrange of luxury botanical skincare and cosmetics, with a strong dedication to wildlife and environmental sustainability, Chantecaille’s latest boutique at Tangs reflects just that philosophy, with a Philanthropy wall highlighting their conservation efforts around the globe. The soft, clean white space also comes with a showcase of their unique botanical ingredients used in the products that they stock, and also introduces their private facial cabin -- signature face treatments which were previously only available in Seoul and Hong Kong, and will be introduced in time to come due with COVID-19 measures.

Enter the new era of perfume customization. Maison21G is a Parisian haute perfumery that allows you to make your very own personalised perfum (even mixing your own eau de parfum in under 30 seconds) from over 34 perfume essences, and also hold perfume making workshops so you can take part in making them together with your friends and family. The brand has since opened more outlets alongside its Duxton boutique, at ION Orchard and in Bugis.

Yves Saint Laurent Beauté
This popular french brand known for its youthful, edgy and luxurious range of makeup has opened another outlet at Isetan Scotts, so there are plenty more places to choose from if you’re looking to stock up on your YSL Touche Eclat or try out a new shade of lipstick. Their opening week also comes with a host of promotions, such as deluxe gift sets or complimentary engravings, so be sure to drop by before the 27th of September to enjoy the spoils.
