At Chanel’s Metiers d’Art 2016/17 Paris Cosmpolite show, the beauty focus was one of ritzy glamour – it was held, after all, at the newly reopened Ritz Paris. As such, there was an elegant simplicity
to the look. On Karl Lagerfeld’s very young muse, Lily-Rose Depp, was a gently perfected complexion paired with a subtle smoky eye and a graphic strip of white liner. But the real key to the look? Lips in a natural shade worn with the joie de vivre of youth!
Top tips to achieving the look:
Soft blend on the eyes
Keep the smoky eye subtle and a supporting feature of the graphic white liner. To that end, palettes like the one by makeup artist Kabuki in collaboration with MAC is a great option that has all the shades you’ll need.
The seasonal blush colour from Chanel's Spring/ Summer 2017’s “Coco Codes” collection is divine. The collection celebrates the colour signatures of Chanel – think white, black, beige and red. Élégance is an understated take on beige that gives the cheeks a radiant lift.
Perfect and prepare the lips with a layer of lip balm. We like Chanel’s version because it’s lightly scented, nourishing and looks unbeatably chic.
If you don’t have a white eyeliner pencil handy, try applying the white shade in the Tissé Smoky palette with a dampened brush as an eyeliner to achieve a graphic nish.
