The brand's founder and managing director speaks to us about Porcelain's new space, as well as treatments and beauty essentials she can't live without

Congrats on the opening of your third outlet! What can people expect from Funan&rsquo;s space? 
Thank you. With its open-concept layout, the store offers a modern, dynamic, and engaging environment that ensures effortless navigation and an immersive customer experience.&nbsp;The cosy spa lounge also serves as a peaceful sanctuary, providing an escape from the pressures of everyday life to offer an oasis for rejuvenation.
You'll also find an integrated skin discovery area equipped with Porcelain's Skin Discovery Enhanced software that helps identify specific skin concerns and provide tailored options for your skin journey.
Tell us about Porcelain&rsquo;s partnership with LAANK for the design of the spa. What was this creative process like?
The creative process involved close collaboration between Porcelain and LAANK to create a space that not only reflected our brand identity but also provided a serene and relaxing atmosphere for customers.
LAANK, whom we've worked with since 2014, have a deep understanding of our values, consumer journey and target audience. Design concepts, materials, colour palettes, and architectural elements were carefully chosen to create a harmonious and inviting environment. LAANK's expertise in spatial planning, material selection, and lighting design also played a significant role in bringing our vision to life.

What makes Porcelain&rsquo;s treatments unique from other facial spa services?
We believe in treating the root of skin issues over symptomatic approaches to skincare. Through a deep understanding of how the skin works and what the root causes of skin issues are, we use training, medical technology, highly functional products and in-house protocols to achieve unparalleled results.
Using our AI Skin Discovery Diagnosis machine, we are able to accurately pinpoint the symptoms and skin conditions, and through our understanding of the science behind how the skin works, we create treatment plans that can meet your needs based on our philosophies.&nbsp;
We also continuously adapt our treatment plans to meet your skin's everchanging needs. As you and your skin evolve, Porcelain evolves with you &ndash; ensuring that our treatment plans grow and adapt to deliver optimal results for your unique skin concerns.
Are Porcelain&rsquo;s treatments tailored to suit Singaporean&rsquo;s lifestyles? If so, how?
They are specially designed to tackle specific challenges brought about by our unique lifestyle. They incorporate a combination of protective ingredients, hydration boosters, antioxidants, and state-of-the-art equipment to combat the effects of environmental stressors and maintain a healthy skin barrier.

What is your favourite Porcelain treatment and why is it so?
It's hard to pick one! One of my favourite facial treatments is IllumiZap, which combines the Illuminate Facial&trade; and ZapBright&trade;. This unique and relaxing treatment incorporates various techniques to achieve age-reversing skin resurfacing. You'll awaken to instantly brighter, firmer, and smoother skin, with a more youthful appearance.
What are some beauty essentials you can&rsquo;t live without?
A complete skincare routine comprising cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser and sunscreen is crucial for achieving radiant skin from within. I personally use all of Porcelain&rsquo;s products because I believe in them wholeheartedly. I will also never sell a product which I don&rsquo;t personally use and believe in.
Twice a week, I pamper myself with Porcelain's Natural Skin Refiner as it contains natural enzymes to exfoliate the dead skin cells, apply the Hydrocare Bio Cellulose Mask with Vitamin E, Ceramides to improve skin texture and luminosity and end it off by spritzing Deep Hydrating Lotion to lock the goodness in the skin. I don&rsquo;t use foundation and try to allow my skin to breathe as oxygen boosts skin health.
