Born in Australia, Robbie grew up on the Gold Coast and eventually moved to Melbourne where she began acting professionally at the age of 17. She appeared on Neighbors, Australia’s longest-running television serial, from 2008-2010. In 2011, Robbie moved to the United States to pursue her career and was quickly cast in the critically-acclaimed series, Pan Am.
She is best known for her breakout role in Martin Scorsese’s 2013 hit, The Wolf of Wall Street, starring as the female lead opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. Her star-making performance in the film paved the way for other roles in other box-office hits, such as Focus, sci- thriller Z for Zachariah, David Yates’ The Legend of Tarzan, as well as David Ayer’s Suicide Squad as the iconic Harley Quinn.

Not content to limit her involvement in film and television to acting, In 2014, Margot launched her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, and currently has several films in development under the production banner including Bad Monkeys, Beautiful Things and Marian.
