BACK IN MAY 2016, Kate Winslet found herself in Saint-Imier, the idyllic Swiss municipality famous for its sweeping views of the Chasseral mountain and more importantly, for being the birthplace of Longines. The reason for her visit? To select a watch that will be re-issued, with proceeds going to the Golden Hat Foundation – a non-profit organisation co-founded by Winslet herself in 2010 to raise awareness on autism.

So it was within the archives of Longines Museum when she chanced upon a particular timepiece that caught her eye and sealed the deal, as it were. The piece in question was a yellow gold watch from the Flagship collection – a fitting choice by the Ambassador of Elegance, considering that the collection celebrates its milestone 60th anniversary this year. And thus, a legacy was born.

The Flagship Heritage by Kate Winslet watch

The Flagship Heritage by Kate Winslet watch is a new 18k gold watch model redesigned and re-issued specially for the occasion. Unique, signed, and limited to just five pieces, the watch is inspired by the emblematic Flagship collection and bears a stamped flagship with the mention “by Kate Winslet”.

Three models of the watch will be auctioned online until 30 June in aid of the Golden Hat Foundation. As for the two remaining timepieces, one will be presented to Winslet and the other kept in the Longines museum.
