Women On A Mission Hosts fundraiser and photography exhibition FROZEN

It might have been a Siberian-themed fundraiser and photography exhibition named FROZEN, but the giant igloo-like marquee that housed the 225 friends, supporters and guests of Women On A Mission (WOAM) was filled with warmth and lots of laughter. Held on 13 May 2016 within the compounds of a stately black and white mansion along Mount Pleasant Road, the exhibition was held in support of the PERTAPIS Centre for Women and Girls. Photographs documenting the team’s unforgettable journey across the Arctic were put on display, a touching tribute to the tenacity of the indigenous Nenets people despite living in frigid conditions. Funds raised during the event totalled over S$50,000 after expenses, and will go towards creating long-term mentoring programs for abused and juvenile offenders in Singapore. Guests – dressed the part in white – were treated to a Russian-themed cocktail by the Russian Caviar House in Singapore, W Hotel Singapore and Buyan Russian Restaurant and Bar, while DJ Adam Sky provided the night’s beats. Russian Ambassador to Singapore, His Excellency Andrey Tatarinov, also graced the event, making it a memorable and meaningful one. Visit Women On A Mission for more details.
