Salvatore Ferragamo Fall/Winter 2017-2018

This fall, expect clean lines and clever details from the Italian leather house

Fulvio Rigoni’s second runway outing at Ferragamo expanded the vocabulary that the newly installed creative director introduced last season.

It’s clear that his vision for Ferragamo is sleek and serious (sheath dresses abound), but not averse to the occasional indulgence: first joyful florals for spring, and now patchwork animal prints in ice blue and deep purple. A leather number with raglan sleeves and a slit to the hip was poised perfectly between relaxed and rigorous, a promising distillation of Rigoni’s ambitions for Ferragamo.
