Looking back at some of the key moments from the shows during Men's Fashion Week

Now that the heat of Men’s Fashion Week is dying down, we look back at some of the key moments from the shows in the different cities. The collections may have been the point of the whole shindig, but the clothes weren’t the only things that caught our eye.

1. Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte (a.k.a. Walter White Jr a.k.a. Flynn) made his runway debut at Milan Menswear Week, opening and closing for Vivienne Westwood. The British designer caused quite a stir at Paris Fashion Week during the last womenswear season when she sent Game of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie down the runway.

2. Jack Kilmer, Charlie Oldman and Dylan Brosnan – sons of, you guessed it, Val Kilmer, Gary Oldman and Pierce Brosnan – walked for Saint Laurent. Where are all these good-looking celebrity progeny coming from?!

3. Man-dresses and man-skirts are a thing now, making appearances at Gucci, Undercover, Givenchy, No. 21 and Acne.

4. Milan Fashion Week marked creative director Alessandro Michele’s official menswear debut for Gucci. (The collection he showed during the Fall/Winter 2015 season doesn’t really count as it was a last-minute effort between him and the team at Gucci.)

5. It wasn’t just about the menswear collections – a good number of designers, including Hedi Slimane at Saint Laurent, Alessandro Michele at Gucci, Christopher Bailey at Burberry and Miuccia Prada, opted to show their womenswear Resort 2016 collections. Riccardo Tisci even used the opportunity to mark his Givenchy Couture return.

6. Shayne Oliver’s accessory of the moment for Hood By Air was the kindergarten hair barrette.

7. Coach staged its first-ever menswear show at London Fashion Week and it was a tribute to skateboard culture and ’90s psychedelia.

8. The once-feminine lace got the masculine treatment at Gucci and Burberry.

9. Speaking of Burberry – Samuel L. Jackson made a rare front row appearance at the show. He could very well be the next street style celebrity star for all we know.

10. Bobby Abley gave us plenty of options to wear to the screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens with a collection famous icons from the film franchise. A “Bobby Fett” logo t-shirt, anyone?
