“It’s been ages since I’ve gone cafe-hopping. Quite a few new spots have popped up along East Coast Road, including Gastrosmith and the Birds Of Paradise gelateria, and some have SG51 special menus that I’ll be checking out this National Day weekend. And I’ll need to slurp up a freakshake from Patissez Singapore – long overdue!” Grace Tay, Managing Editor

Deputy Editor Justin Cheong plans to savour a quiet moment at MacRitchie Reservoir this Singapore National Day long weekend.

“This long weekend, I’m looking forward to some greenery, Gucci and Grace. Let me expound: One – I recently rediscovered the beauty of MacRitchie Reservoir and the TreeTop Walk, the peace and quiet punctuated by avian chirrups, and the verdant panorama is blessed respite from the concrete jungle.
Secondly, Gucci‘s Fall/Winter 2016 men’s collection has dropped in stores and I popped in hurriedly a week ago just to take a gander and saw the most flamboyant yet kitschy-cool slippers. (Cute coincidence that the nature theme from point 1 continues in my choice of footwear!)

Walking out of Gucci with these, this weekend!

“And finally, I finally bought Grace Coddington’s memoirs, simply entitled Grace, from Kinokuniya. Nothing like a long weekend to let me pore over the life and times of one of the industry’s greatest fashion editors ever.” Justin Cheong, jetsetter, Deputy Editor

“There’s no questioning where I’ll be spending my long weekend: the gym! (its Fitness First, if you must know). Holiday-themed specials, back-to-back Les Mills group exercise classes and people with fantastic energy! Need I explain more?” Kenny Loh, Features Editor

“My long weekend will be spent going for a morning run in the trails. It puts my senses in order & power my day forward.” Mossy Chew, Senior Designer
