Dior: the Art of Colour
When your beauty legacy includes names like Tyen, Serge Lutens and Peter Philips, it would be a big fat waste not to celebrate it. This new Rizzoli-published book chronicles the experimentations and ventures of the house of Dior’s makeup and beauty, captured by photographic masters like Irving Penn, Guy Bourdin, and Richard Burbridge, etc. The book tallies up an inspiring history of aesthetes and a captivating array of never-before- seen unpublished photography.
It’s safe to say François Nars will forever reside in the pantheons of beauty lore for his unmatchable career – from being a celebrated makeup artist to launching one of the most desirable cosmetics brands around today. His latest book ventures inwards, charting his early years as an innovator amongst the fashion circles in Paris all the way to the establishment and development of his eponymous brand.
