Louis Vuitton’s new permanent leather collection makes its debut this season. Called the Ombré, the collection features three of the maison’s iconic bags – the Keepall, Lockit Bandoulière and Porte-Documents Voyage – and the new Cartable, a school-style satchel in a warm brown shade. The basis of the collection is the Louis Vuitton Cuir Ombré, a natural, plain leather that is soft yet firm to the touch, with a patina that has been aged ever so slightly for that lived-in look. Ombré is split into two parts, the first in cool blues and khakis with red highlights and the second in a warmer palette of browns, greys and burgundy. Click through the gallery below to go behind the scenes of the Ombré collection, from the first stitch to the final product.
